Construction work is well under way on a new residential development on Vaughan Way in the centre of Leicester which will deliver almost 300 units for Build to Rent (BTR). The site is located in the City Centre of Leicester within the strategic regeneration area and directly opposite the High Cross shopping Centre, anchored by John Lewis.
Long Harbour entered into exclusivity with the developer in July 2016, and detailed negotiation and design workshops received a detailed planning consent April 2017. The scheme is specifically designed for rent with the construction of 5,7,10 and 12 storey buildings providing mixed use development to include 750 sqm commercial floor space (418 sqm to be allocated for a convenience store), 297 units and 120 car parking spaces. Residents' amenity includes a private roof terrace, residents' kitchen and dining, work from home space, private screening & games room and cycle storage.
The scheme will be managed by Long Harbour's in house management platform.
