Long Harbour speaks at Tel Aviv Energy Investor Forum

16 October 2017

Long Harbour was invited by the UK Department of International Trade to speak at their Energy Investor Forum in Israel on the 26th September.  The high-profile event was attended by over 35 Israeli organisations, including leading international infrastructure investors.

The main focus of the event was “Investing in UK’s Energy Transition” and Long Harbour’s Director of Infrastructure Paul Mason discussed the growing need for flexibility in the UK’s energy system: “the rapid increase in intermittent renewables means that existing sources of flexibility are struggling to cope.  There is a growing need for both long and short duration storage assets, and we are seeing attractive investment opportunities in both pumped storage and chemical batteries.”

About Long Harbour’s Energy Infrastructure Fund

Long Harbour’s Energy Infrastructure team actively track market and policy developments in the energy sector.  We have identified several attractive investment prospects arising from the transformation of national energy systems – in particular, flexible energy storage providers.  In order to capitalise on this opportunity, we have recently launched the Long Harbour Energy Infrastructure Fund.  The Fund will benefit from best-in-class management and investment analysis, as well as technical expertise and a unique, proprietary approach to energy trading.  We are currently actively seeking forward thinking, flexible investment partners who share our market sentiment.  For more information, please contact Paul Mason: psm@longharbour.co.uk
