Long Harbour, the real estate investment manager and leader in operational real estate, has appointed Véronique Medcalf as Group Human Resources Director, strengthening its leadership team and reinforcing its strategic focus on people, talent development and growth.
Véronique brings extensive international human resources leadership experience across the financial services, real estate and technology sectors. She joins Long Harbour from Cromwell Property Group, the global real estate investment manager, where she spent nine years as Head of People, Europe and Singapore, most recently guiding the people function through a period of growth and the successful sale of the European business to SWI Group.
In her new role, Véronique will report to Long Harbour’s executive committee, leading Long Harbour's people strategy across its operations, helping to shape the organisation by building the talent and culture needed to drive the firm’s continued growth. The appointment follows ongoing expansion in Long Harbour’s UK residential business, with its second single family housing fund having recently raised £100m from the National Housing Bank.
Véronique is an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
Véronique Medcalf, Group Human Resources Director at Long Harbour, said: “Long Harbour has built a strong reputation underpinned by a genuine commitment to its people and high standards of governance. I look forward to working with the leadership team to continue to develop our people strategy, strengthen our talent development capability and support the business with executing its investment strategy.”
James Aumonier, Chief Operating Officer at Long Harbour, said: “Véronique's appointment underlines the importance we place on our people and on an experienced leadership team as we continue to grow the business. Her track record in building high-performing, values-led cultures in complex, international organisations will be a real asset to Long Harbour and our team.”
